How to pimp your web site at yesterday's Web Weavers Workshop

Web Weavers yesterday held their first workshop for the year with Kelvin Kakugawa as the featured guest.

The workshop’s mini lesson “Introduction to WordPress Plugins” was followed by Kelvin’s clinic on “Pimping your Website.” He introduced Firebug, a very Firefox plugin for web development and design.

This month’s Web Weavers Workshop was held in the conference room at Hawaii Self Storage on Waialae Avenue. Next month’s workshop will be held on Saturday, May 9, from 1 PM to 4 PM and will also be at Hawaii Self Storage.

Thank you Kelvin, Eugene and Terry for setting this workshop up. Terry gave an excellent overview on WordPress plugins and created a thick handout to boot! Lots of work on his part and it’s well appreciated!

Kelvin is the guru in coding and he was incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for spotting the error in mixing my HTML comments with PHP and giving us the Firebug to help design our sites. All truly very useful! Thank you bunches! :o )

A belated thank you for this informative workshop. I am impressed with all you know Kelvin, and your attitude and interesting background. Ah to be young and so smart. Eugene of course, the handout you took the time to put together is VERY useful. Everyone seemed to be a level above me, but better that than the other way around. I loved learning about Firebug which looked so easy, but of course I went home and found out that I need a Firebug for dummies manual. But thats just me. I still have a lot to learn. And miles to go…and miles to go…

I can’t believe the workshop was free too. I’m sure if there is another meeting that people would drop 5 bucks easy, for something like this or $10. I would have, without a second thought. Then with the money there would be more options as to where to meet.
