President declares "I am not a Geek"

At yesterday’s appearance on the Bytemarks Cafe radio program HMAUS president Terrence Young declares “I am not a Geek” in response to a question from co-host Ryan Ozawa about the kinds of people who belong to user groups. This an apparent faux-pas as fellow HMAUS member Rick “Wolfman” Gass sat beside him in the studio proudly wearing a t-shirt boldly emblazoned with the words “Mac geek” across the front.

Burt Lum and Ryan invited Young and Gass to the Bytemarks Cafe radio program to talk about the upcoming Mac Springfest. Other guests include two gentlemen from Coral Cross who talked about pandemic preparedness using alternate reality gaming technology.

  1. T Young says:

    Hey! Faux Pas?!!

As evident in the pictures above, some of my BEST friends are Geeks.

And furthermore, I truly believe Geeks are people too!
    :-)

Oh, and BTW…Mahalo to Burt and Ryan, two of the most awesome geeks on the planet, for so graciously allowing me to put my smelly foot in my mouth…on LIVE public radio!

(I wonder if anyone was listening?)

    T.
