Bill Fuller
When I began working with Bill Fuller, as a member of the HMAUS Board of Directors, I always looked to him for rational advice and he never failed to deliver with extra-thorough analysis of every detail. And why wouldn’t he be so attentive? Bill was a serious mid-westerner, a Yale graduate, with an MBA from Stanford. He moved to Hawaii in 1968 with his wife Susan and went to work for Crown Corporation. Eventually, he became the company president. Later, Bill moved on to Tongg Publishing, and he became president there too. Bill was more than qualified to serve HMAUS for the many years that he did.
Bill was also an avid reader, a lifelong scholar, spending countless hours scouring the public libraries and of course, exploring the Internet. His deep interest in research and information lead him to thoroughly enjoy the things he learned as well as the scores of friends he made through HMAUS.
On Thursday, July 30th, after a long, tough, valiant effort against cancer, our friend, dedicated HMAUS Treasurer Bill Fuller, finally passed away.
Memorial services for William Miles Fuller will be at Diamond Head Memorial Park — Thursday, August 6 2009; Viewing from 4:30 PM; Service at 5:30 PM; No flowers; Casual Attire
