6/24 Saturday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Web 2.0 M2M session. Come and share your favorite Web 2.0 website.  These are websites which are often free for basic services that let you create and share content, access information and otherwise interact with the web and others. Weʻll demonstrate de.li.cious for saving and sharing bookmarks on any computer, Jing for making and uploading screen shots or video tutorials,  Wix.com for creating a Flash website and Worlde for making..Wordles like this one.  Web 2.0 apps are made for folks who want to do cool things but donʻt want to have to do an programming.  Theyʻre pretty plug and play.  If you have a favorite 2.0 site to share, bring the URL.  Weʻll have a laptop and projector.  Free.  ING Direct Cafe, 2nd floor conference room.

Kelby Online Training

Image Makers presents Hands-on Intro to Photoshop Elements by Joan Matsukawa followed by watch and do lessons with Lesa Snider’s Kelby Online videos $5 for members, $10 for non-members for both sessions.   Limit 10, members have priority.

Boot Camp #1  Mac 101. 7/24 (new date) This is our first full day hands-on boot camp to get you started with your Mac. Hear it, do it, master it! This is your base set of skills. We’ll cover Leopard/Snow Leopard tips; how to find, view and organize files efficiently, short cuts and an introduction to the suite of iapps that come with your Mac.  Come and immerse yourself for a day and walk away with real skill. New Date:  Saturday, July 24,  2010 9 am – 3 pm $15 for members, $25 for non-members including b/w handouts and a beverage. Space limited.

Shooting for the Web Saturday July 10  3 p.m. to 7 p.m. This session starts out at ING Cafe for a photography workshop on using your camera and editing your photos. Then we move to Magic Island for a sunset photoshoo. Cost TBA, priority to members.

Apple Automator premade “macros” or scripts that help you do things you do over and over again on your Mac with a couple of keystrokes.  One example is Duplicator Annihilator which searches your computer and brings up duplicate images you have stored here there and everywhere.  Gregg Kamei presenting, tentative date July 14 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Boot Camp #2 – iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD date TBA. Organize, edit and share your photos and movies in fun, easy and good looking ways!
