Kepano Kekuewa, Apple Higher Education Account Executive will show you how.
On July 22, 2010, Thursday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. he will present a free public talk for Pacific New Media on iMovie in Krauss 012 at U.H. Manoa. He’ll show you how to import video clips and still images, organize, trim and remove some of the shakiness, add titles and effects and export in a number of ways. It’s easier than it sounds, but easier yet when someone like Kepano shows you how.

Ample parking for $5 for the evening. Enter EW Center Road, turn left at the kiosk and drive to the end of the road. Turn left and you will see Krauss Hall under the big banyan tree. Take the left driveway to park near the building.

Kepano Kekuewa, Apple Higher Ed Account Executive packed a two hour MacLearn presentation on July 25th with a slew of cool features of iPhoto ’09. Here are a few things he shared, how-tos are in the handout linked below:

iPhoto is an organizer – Photos are imported as, and reside in Events. Drag over an Event to skim the photos in it and easily merge and split Events. Albums are virtual collections you drop photos into. Smart Albums grab the photos for you, based on your criteria. Choose an album or any set of photos and make an instant slideshow, a picture album or calendar. You can also easily label and sort your photos according to Titles, Ratings (1-5 stars) and Keywords, either individually or in a bunch.

iPhoto is a photo editor. Crop and Straighten images, or zap blemishes, lines and dirty spots with the Retouch tool. Adjust shadows, highlights, color, sharpness by dragging sliders, then copy and paste those Adjustments onto other images! Your original images are kept safe and can be restored at any time. Cool!

A BIG mahalo to Kepano for an outstanding presentation, to the 27 of you who joined us, to Jeff Kang for our projector rescue, and Norm Hallett for the photos!
