Adobe Fireworks offers a complete environment for designing, editing, and optimizing professional web graphics. Its seamless vector and bitmap editing capabilities allow you to easily create design comps and final page layouts that can be sliced and exported, ready for HTML integration in an editor such as Dreamweaver.
Learn how to use Fireworks to design multiple page websites and to export graphics and interactive components from your design, including JavaScript behaviors (rollovers and pop-up menus) and animation, ready for integration in other programs such as Flash and Dreamweaver.
Prerequisite: Prior experience with Fireworks is suggested. Basic understanding of the Mac environment and a generally high comfort level with computers is required.

Gain a basic understanding of Fireworks` capabilities for creating and manipulating graphics, understand how Fireworks fits into the web design workflow, and how you can utilize Fireworks in conjunction with other Adobe tools such as Flash and Dreamweaver.

About the Instructor
Lisa Lopuck is a well-known expert on interactive design. With a career that traces back to the Apple Multimedia Lab in 1992, she has been a pioneer on the forefront of interactive design, helping to establish many of the interactive conventions in use today. In 1996, Lopuck left Clement Mok designs to co-found Electravision, one of the first web design agencies in San Francisco. Electravision’s award-winning work (including some of the first online entertainment works) earned her national recognition. Her first book, Designing Multimedia, was a bestseller and started Lopuck on a speaking career. Since 1997, she has spoken at web design conferences around the world. She has written six books on interactive design, and is currently updating her best-selling Web Design for Dummies. Lopuck is also an accomplished watercolor artist, recently earning her Signature membership in the National Watercolor Association.
