Neenz Faleafine will be our special guest for the January Mac Monday Mania.

Neenz is a Media Developer / Programmer for Hawaii’s leading research and development firm, Oceanit Laboratories, where she is responsible for building a community for the firm, its clients, partners, and associates.

Neenz also serves as the Chief Evangelist for Guy Kawasaki’s Alltop website — one of the top 5000 web properties in the United States.

Born, and raised in Hawaii “Neenz” Faleafine is a nationally recognized expert in the application and use of social networks to gather intelligence, build online communities, and to use those networks to achieve favorable results. As the Social Media Director for the new Governor of Hawaii, Neil Abercrombie, she effectively directed the use of social media to steer the Abercrombie campaign to a decisive election victory.

Neenz will be a very engaging co-host for this month’s Mac Monday Mania. The evening will include technology talk, geek fun and door prizes. Neenz will even present a Top 10 list to launch us into the next decade.

Mac Monday Mania is a monthly program hosted by HMAUS for Macintosh and technology enthusiasts. Each monthly program explores interesting things people do with technology.

The gatherings are open to the public. Everyone is welcome to share new technology, ideas, creativity and fun activities.

Regular features include special guests, door prize giveaways, Bring ya Bling contest, Geek Speak, Tech Talk and more.

MMM is held monthly on the fourth Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the ING Direct Cafe in Waikiki.

This workshop is presented by Bytemarks and sponsored by the High Tech Development Corporation

Participants in the workshop will have the opportunity to create an online presence, understand how to develop and sustain a community, and to apply the various new media and social networking tools available to deliver a message. These tools can increase sales and expand their business opportunities beyond conventional e-commerce. Attendees will leave the workshop with their own blog and be able to maintain their own website.
